Welcome to the Meyer Levin I.S. 285 family!

My name is Donna Phillips and I have been appointed as you school Parent
Coordinator. The Parent Coordinator is part of the administration team
working under the supervision of the principal, School Leadership Team,
Parent Associations, community groups, and parent advisory councils.

The purpose of this position is:

•  To engage parents by providing the necessary tools to participate
  fully in their children’s education.
• To foster a welcoming environment for the parents/guardians of
  our students
• To resolve issues raised by parents.

Research shows that parent/family involvement improves student
achievements and other behaviors.

One of our objectives is to fully implement the school’s Uniform Dress Code
for all students. This will create an environment for uniqueness and discipline
in our school. I am truly excited and looking forward to our new working
